Solid read on Leadership

This book follows a similar format to the Difficult Lid. It was short and easy to read. My only outcome with the book is that it will not wow you in terms of material. With so many sports leadership books out there, this does not stand out.

The book is prepare like a lecture or motivational spoken language where you get the perspective of Mike Smith (erstwhile NFL charabanc) and Jon Gordon (leadership expert) going back and forth equally though they were on stage.
Information technology is an easy read that provides two perspectives as they guide you through the 7 C'due south to building a winning team. Of note there is a department regarding Spud's law. In the book they reframe the concept of things going wrong and how to ready emotionally and mentally to handle these undeniable The book is set up like a lecture or motivational speech where you get the perspective of Mike Smith (former NFL autobus) and Jon Gordon (leadership proficient) going dorsum and forth as though they were on stage.
It is an easy read that provides two perspectives equally they guide you through the 7 C'southward to edifice a winning team. Of note there is a section regarding Murphy'south police force. First, because I would appreciate having the book to refer back to at present and and then, and second, because at times the functioning from the two men was a little flat. Book itself gets 4 stars, performance gets 2.5-three.

Recommended for anyone looking for leadership/management communication or anyone interested in learning how a meridian-level NFL coach motivates his players. (Also recommended for any PMPs who are football game fans and demand to gain PDUs to maintain certification...)

2020 felt like a theme of Consistency/Commitment, but this 2021 feels a lot like Communicate, Connect, and Care to work on.

I feel as though this is a must read for anyone who is a leader or passenger vehicle of a squad. The volume reinforces several leadership concepts and also discusses some that are new to me.

I enjoyed the dual perspectives of both Jon Gordon and Mike Smith. The discussion of each topic was very like shooting fish in a barrel to understand and while I read I institute myself thinking about how I would incorporate this into my piece of work identify.

I think I would have ranked this higher if I hadn't already read another one of Jon Gordon's books. He repeats himself a lot. I have besides read books by Wooden in the same subject which I liked better.

If you want to build a great civilisation from the ground, this book will requite yous the tools to arrive happen . I was really impressed on how Mike Smith, sometime NFL coach, had transformed a losing civilisation to a winning i in a brusk catamenia of time.
